Community Support

Friends of Yellagonga

Halidon Primary School has partnered with the Friends of Yellagonga (FOY) group to inform our students of the importance of protecting and restoring the biodiversity of the Yellagonga Regional Park. The aim of the FOY is to promote and participate in the conservation, rehabilitation and protection of Yellagonga Regional Park to ensure long-term environmental sustainability and compatible human use.

FOY was formed in 1993 and works in tandem with the Department of Parks and Wildlife (DPAW).

FOY manages a number of sites within the park. Regular workdays are held at the FOY sites, first growing and then planting local endemic species, removal of introduced species and site maintenance.

This group is also responsible for supplying Halidon PS with many plants and an owl nesting box on our school site. For more information, please visit the Friends Of Yellagonga website.

Kingswood Learning Community

It is expected that once a student commences at Halidon Primary School they will continue into the Woodvale Secondary College Campus for years 7-12. Please note guaranteed enrolment only exists if the child is in the local catchment area, if not, application success will be the decision of the individual campus. View the local intake area map.

We welcome the input of knowledge and skills by encouraging different perspectives and embracing change to ensure that we not only grow as individuals but as a whole school community.  Woodvale Secondary College, Woodvale, North Woodvale, Creaney and Halidon Primary Schools form the Kingswood Learning Community. The five school work together to develop a seamless approach to K-12 education across the campuses and use a shared vision and resources to develop collaborative opportunities for the students.
